Ferner, Irvin John

FERNER – Irvin John Ferner, beloved husband of Roxanne Ferner of  Brooks, passed away in Brooks on  February 12th, 2003 at the age  of 39 years. Born in Kerrobert,  Saskatchewan on April 16th, 1963  he began his schooling in Major,  Saskatchewan. The family moved to  Oyen and to Brooks in 1976 where  he finished his schooling. Irvin had  worked in the oil patch since leaving  school and most recently operated  his own business AJ’s Bobcat. He  and Roxanne Plett were married  in Brooks on February 26th, 1994.  Irvin will be best remembered for his  love for his wife, his children and his  family; for his laugh, his smile and  sense of humour; for his willingness  to help others and for his love of the outdoors. He was predeceased by  his father John on April 13th, 1999; infant nephew Christopher on July  22nd, 1986; infant nephew Kyle on July 27th, 1994 and an infant niece  Kristen on September 4th, 1995. He is survived by his loving family, wife  Roxanne, daughter Alicia and son John all of Brooks; mother Hilda Ferner  of Brooks; brothers and sisters, Mike (Lori) of Cochrane, Anita (Ron) Astell  of Lethbridge, Randy (Patty) of Brooks, Margaret (Terry) Peters of Brooks,  Shirley (Paul) Baxter of Olds, Carol (Laurence) Wenzel of Rocky Mountain  House and Terry of Brooks; Roxanne’s family and numerous other family  members. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18th  from TrinityLutheranChurch, Brooks. Rev. John Theiss officiated. Honorary  Pallbearers were all his family and friends who loved him. Active Pallbearers  were Randy Ferner, Terry Ferner, Ryan Ferner, Cameron Ferner, Mitchell  Peters and Laurence Wenzel. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
