FLEMING – Raymond William Fleming of Brooks, Alberta died in the Brooks Health Centre on November 27, 1989 at the age of 74 years.
He was born in Chatham, Ontario and served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1946.
He married Margaret Conliffe on October 26, 1946 in Kent Bridge, Ontario and moved to Brooks in 1961. He was employed with Lathom Concrete and the Town of Brooks with the Parks Department.
He was predeceased by a grandson Adam Beringer in 1987.
Surviving are his wife Margaret of Brooks, six children; Cheryl (Brian) Congram of Brooks, Connie (Bob) Beringer of Bassano, Cathy (Rob) Bennington of High River, Bill (Anne) Fleming of Calgary, Charlotte (Sid) Hurst of Brooks and Carl (Rick) Guyot of Brooks, 11 grandchildren, two brothers Howard of Medicine Hat and Charles of Condor.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 2 p.m, in Smith’s Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Hector Rose officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers are his sons-in-law, Brian Congram, Bob Beringer, Rob Bennington, Sid Hurst and Rick Guyot and George Driedger.
