FORDEN – Shirley Patricia Forden of Brooks, Alberta died on April 7, 1986 in the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. She was born at Atlin, B.C. and resided in various places in B.C. before moving to Prince George with her parents where she received her education.
She married in Vancouver on October 10, 1963 and resided in the Prince George area and moved to Australia with her husband for a year and a half and returned to the B. C. Cariboo area. She came to Brooks in December 1976 and was employed part-time at the Treasury Branch.
Surviving are her husband Tom; two sons Ronald and Trevor, all of Brooks; her mother Francis Holt and father Nils Holt: a sister Nancy Anderson; a brother Norman Holt; one nephew and two nieces, all in B.C.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11 at 2 p.m. in St. Alban’s Anglican Church with the Reverend Andy Hoskiri officiating. Interment will follow in the Brooks Cemetery.

FORDEN – Thomas Alfred Forden I passed away suddenly in Brooks on May 16th, 2001 at the age of 62 years.
Tom was born at Punnichy, Saskatchewan on August 9th, 1938 and grew up on the family farm. He moved to British Columbia in 1957 residing in various places until moving to Vancouver. Tom and Shirley Holt were married in Vancouver on October 10th, 1963 and resided in the Prince George area. They moved to Australia for a year and a half returning to the Caribou area of British Columbia until coming to Brooks in December of 1976. Shirley passed away on April 7th, 1986. Tom was employed as an electrician for EID Electric, DA Electric and currently with Syntech. He married Tannis Paskell on April 18th, 1987. He will be remembered as a hard worker who could out shovel anyone. He loved his family, his yard work and was a friend to everyone.
Tom is survived by his loving family, wife Tannis of Brooks; sons Ron, Trevor and Dana all of Brooks; step children Tyler and Danita both of Brooks; sisters Mabel Haourt of Quesnel, British Columbia, Alice (Bob) Dods of Mississauga, Ontario and Gladys (Mike) Lediszczak of Saskatoon; brothers Charlie (Vi) of Prince George, David (Ida) of Shipman, Ron (Marilyn) of Plano, Texas and Ken (Marlene) of Punnichy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22nd from the Evangelical Free Church, Brooks. Archdeacon Dave Prowse of St. Alban’s Anglican Church officiated.
