FULTON – Ollie Mary Fulton of Brooks, Alberta, widow of the late Warren C. Fulton (April 29, 1974) passed away at Brooks on October 15, 1991 at the age of 93 years.
She was born at Lundy, Virginia, U.S.A. : and married on May 18, 1918 at Independence, Virginia and later moved to Arizona. She came to Alberta to
Millarville in 1928 and to Wardlow in 1936 where she and her husband ranched. In 1950, they moved to Brooks where she has resided since.
She was a life member of the U.C.W. and W.M.S. of the Brooks United Church.
Mrs. Fulton is survived by her loving children, Louise and her husband Carl Beck of Brooks, Lettye and her husband Jim Rennie of Bassano, Elizabeth and her husband Paul Knutsen of Calgary and Warren and his wife Helen of Duchess, Alberta; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Anna Bennington and Mrs. Bess Fielder both of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at Smith’s Memorial Chapel in Brooks on Saturday, October 19 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Susan Lukey and the Reverend David Robertson officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers were Vi Jackson, Ada Schindeler, Irene Hackett, Betty Kramer, Ann Anderson, Esther McNarland, Margaret Grayson, Luella Salser and Ethel Zeer. Active pallbearers were Trevor Beck, Terry Fulton, Jim Rennie, David Knutsen, Layton Fulton and Nick Bonamy.
