GALLOWAY – Albert Walton Galloway of Calgary, Alberta died on December 28, 1988 in Calgary at the age of 45 years.
He was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and attended school in Brooks. He worked in the oil patch for numerous companies in Alberta, N.W.T. and the Arctic and married and moved to Rocky Mountain House in 1967 where he owned and operated AI’s
Barber Shop. He moved to Calgary in 1980 and continued barbering in Bowness.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Elks Club.
Surviving are two sons Bob and his wife Carla of Kamloops and Wade and his wife Linette of Ponoka, his mother Myrtle Reesor and her husband AI of Brooks, two brothers Bill and his wife Norma of Brooks and Gerald and his wife Audrey of Calgary, a sister Darlene and her husband Marvin Green of Slave Lake, a special friend Grace of Calgary and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 3 at 2 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ken Grambo officiating. Interment followed in the Brooks Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Louis Cyr, Wayne Davidson, Jim Gravette, Edward Jones, Vern Lillehei and Ky Olsen.
