Gobeil, Treffle T.

GOBEIL – A resident of Rolling Hills since 1946, Treffle .T Joseph Gobeil died at his home on Monday, March 7, 1977 at the age of 73.

Born is St. Samuel, Quebec, he moved to Cloverlee, Sask. with his parents in 1922. He worked for the Cypress Hills Ranch for 19 years before moving to Rolling Hills where he farmed until his retirement in 1960.

He is survived by his dear friend Mary Caset of Rolling Hills; four sisters, Mrs. Lucy Auger, Red­cliff; Mrs. Fedora Charest, Brooks; Mrs. Gloria Coderre, Dollard, Sask.; and Mrs. Fabiola  La­ponte, Chilliwack.

He is also survived by his four bothers, Luger of Reddiff, Homer of Calgary and Marcelle and Andrea, both of Montreal.

Funeral service was held Thursday, March 10 at 2 p.m. in Smith Memorial Chapel with Rev. J.J. Lynn officiating. Interment followed in Brooks Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Roeleau, Clem Gobeil, Mike Didow, Ron Gobeil, Bob Wilson and Ray Auger. Pallbearers at the service were Everett Smith, Harold Hoose, Alf Nygaard, Tony Pfefferle, Larry Sagstuen and Albert Lester.

Smith Funeral Home of Brooks and Bassano was in charge of arrange­ments. If desired, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart Fund.
