GRIFFITH — David William Griffith, beloved husband of Geraldine  Griffith, passed away in Brooks  on April 12th, 2002 at the age  of 79 years. Born in Cessford on  November 30th, 1922 Dave received  his schooling in the Cessford area.  He and Geraldine Rosin were  married on September 6th, 1953 at  St. Paul’s LutheranChurch in the  Handhills. The family continued to  ranch at Cessford until retiring to  Brooks in August of 1985. Dave had  been very active in the Cessford  District for many years; he loved  camping, playing crib and looked  forward to his morning visit with  the coffee boys at the Dairy Queen.  He and Geraldine both enjoyed  membership at DuchessLutheran  Church, the Prairie Pioneers and the  Alberta Roamers. He will be best remembered for his love and dedication to  his family, for being a hard worker, for his honesty, for his sense of humour  and his love of teasing. He was predeceased by his parents Glenn and Nellie  and 3 brothers Harley, Gene and Rod. Dave is survived by his loving family,  his wife Geraldine of Brooks; 4 children, Lance and his wife Mary of Gem  and their children Marni, Geoff, Jared and Bethany, Keith and his wife Donna  of Handhills and their children Jolynn and Kacey, Del and his wife Lori of  Cessford and their children Vanessa, Cordel and Justin and Elsa Martin  and her husband Kevin of Duchess and their children Kale, Stephanie and  Tonya; brother Roy and his wife Harriet of Hanna and numerous nieces,  nephews and other family members. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM  on Tuesday, April 16th from TrinityLutheranChurch, Brooks‘ Rev. Ferdinand  Drewin and Rev. Carl Bogda officiated. Pallbearers were his grandchildren  Marnie, Bethany, Jolynn, Vanessa, Stephanie, Tonya, Geoff, Jared, Kacey,  Cordel, Justin, Kale and Bill. Interment followed at Brooks Cemetery.
