THOMAS – Peter MacKenzie Thomas, beloved husband of Michelle Thomas of Brooks, passed away in Calgary on April 30th, 2001 at the age of 38 years.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. on January 17th, 1963 Peter received his education there. He moved to Peace River in 1987 where he met and married Michelle Pichette on June 17th, 1989. They moved to Brooks in April of 1991 and had resided here since. Peter worked for VC Control Pressure Service, which later became Live Well Control, as a Snubbing Operator. He started his own business, Positive Well Contol Ltd., in October of 1997. Peter loved his wife and his 3 children, his Harley motorcycle, life, people and his work. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, positive attitude, and his generosity. Peter was proud of his family and his accomplishments and received great joy from doing a job well.
He was predeceased by his father Leigh Thomas.
Besides his wife, Peter is also survived by his children, sons Jesse and Jayden and daughter Shandelle all of Brooks; mother Pauline Thomas of PE.I..; 3 brothers; 1 sister; mother and father-in-law Jim and Pauline Pichette of Grimshaw, Alberta; 3 sisters-in- law; 1 brother-in-law; 3 nieces and 5 nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 5th from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brooks. Rev. Bryan Frank officiated.
Honorary Pallbearers were Peter’s children Jesse, Shandelle and Jayden. Active Pallbearers were Ron Chaffer, Arnold Rogness, Tim Sinclair, Glen Oullette, Donald Gould and John Scott.
