WEBER — Marjorie Ann Weber passed away in Brooks on March 4th, 2001 at the age of 67 years.
Born at Buffalo Center, Iowa on December 16th, 1933, Marjorie was a graduate of IowaStateTeachers College (now called University of Northern Iowa) in Cedar Falls. She had taught lower and upper elementary and junior high school in Iowa, South Dakota and Ontario. Marjorie had also worked as an office receptionist in Hillside, Illinois. Loren and Marjorie were married on April 10th, 1955 in Buffalo Center, Iowa. She worked along side her husband in the ministry serving as church pianist and organist in every parish and on the executive of the various women’s societies. She had taught Sunday School when called upon. Marjorie and Loren came to Canada in 1982 to Medicine Hat where she had worked as church secretary. They came to Brooks in 1988 when her husband was called to serve as Pastor of the BrooksBaptistChurch.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family, husband Loren of Brooks; son Larry and his wife Carolyn of Ann Arbor, Michigan; son Mark and his wife Joanna of New Haven, Connecticut; five grandsons Eric, Benjamin and Zachary of Ann Arbor and Soren and Anselm of New Haven; her sister Carol Walker and her husband Don of Hackensack, Minnesota and numerous other relatives and friends in the United States, Canada and Germany.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 9th from the Evangelical Free Church, Brooks. Rev. Don Gillett officiating. Pallbearers will be Ted Schmidt, Nick Salonka, Ed Talbot, George Newton, Erwin Standar and John Klaassen. Interment will follow at Brooks Cemetery.
