Degenstein, Peter John

DEGENSTEIN- Peter John Degenstein a long time resident of Vulcan, Alberta died at Calgary, Alberta on December 11, 1986 at the age of 92 years.

He was born at Manheim, Russia on September 15, 1894.

He was predeceased by a sister Lizzie of Foremost.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Evelyn (Ray) Elliott of Picture Butte, Mrs. Phyllis (Henry) Huff of Lomond, Mrs. Nellie Trottier of Carstairs, Mrs. Bette (Joe) Lorincz of Calgary, Mrs. Florence Forrer of Vancouver, Mrs. Odelle (Roy) Stephenson of Calgary, Mrs. Catherine Turlock of Medicine Hat; four sons, Walter (Twila) of Tonopah, Nevada, Tony of Camrose, Peter (June) of Vulcan, Michael (Patricia) of Fort Macleod; 58 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a sister-in­ law, Mrs. Francis Degenstein of Milk River and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Vulcan on Monday, December 15, at 1:30 p.m. with Father J. Otelowski celebrant. Interment followed in the Vulcan Cemetery.
