KLASSEN- Dr. Ernst Klassen of London, Ontario died suddenly while holidaying in Barbados, West Indies on January 21, 1987 at the age of 54 years.
He was born in Watrous, Saskatchewan on July 12, 1932 and married the former June E. Henry on July 25, 1959.
He graduated from Guelph Veterinary College in 1957 and began his practice in the Waldheim and Rosthern area. He later moved to London, Ontario where he opened his own small animal clinic.
He was a member of the United Church in London.
Surviving are his wife June and three children, Brenda, Murray and Nancy, all of London, his step-mother Mrs. Elizabeth Klassen of Winnipeg, four brothers Peter of Calgary, Aron of Gem, Isaac of Edmonton and Cornelius of Rosemary, three sisters, Mrs. Peter (Tina) Janzen of Pincher Creek, Mrs. Philip (Lora) Dyck of Mexico and Mrs. John (Helen) Tiedemann of Tofield.
A private family memorial service was held on January 28, 1987 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. Douglas H. Ross officiating. Interment was held on January 29 at the Vanessa Cemetery in Vanessa, Ontario.
